It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond C Skradzinski (Alloway, New Jersey), born in Woodbury, New Jersey, who passed away on December 25, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends.
He attended St. James High School in Carney’s Point, NJ and graduated Glassboro State College with a B.S. in criminal justice. He worked 38 years for Salem County Corrections, ending his career as Warden.
Ray was a private person and enjoyed spending time with family. Among his many interests he enjoyed skiing, fishing, golfing, bowling, watching hockey (especially the Philadelphia Flyers), and playing video games with his sons. He enjoyed the outdoors, landscaping with unique trees as well as birdwatching. His favorite meal was breakfast, and he was a regular at the Woodstown Diner where he loved a good cup of coffee.
He is survived by his wife of 40 plus years, Joyce; sons, Raymond S. (Alison) & Brian (Cherokee); mother, Therese, sisters, Marie Rigby (George) & Patricia Snell. Grandchildren Evelyn Jean and Raymond Elliot.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, January 8th, 2022, at 9:00 AM at the Woodside Funeral Home (613 Salem Quinton Road, Salem, New Jersey 08079). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 8th, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the St Mary's Roman Catholic Church (31 Oak Street, Salem, New Jersey 08079). Burial will follow at the Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery (8 Grieves Parkway, Salem, New Jersey 08079).
