Philippine Bradbury Obituary

Philippine (Phil) L. Bradbury, age 97, of Alloway passed away December 29th 2020.  
 

Born July 28th 1923 in Newfield NJ, she was the daughter of the late David and Hedwig Laing.  Phil was raised in Quinton and graduated from  Salem High School, class of 1940.  She was married to Henry Remster and had two sons, Gary (Yockie) and William. Phil divorced in 1964 and married George Bradbury, Sr.  She is predeceased by her brothers, Alex and Jesse; her sister, Marcella Freas; and her husband, George Bradbury, Sr.  Phil is survived by her sons, Gary (Claire) and William (Joanne); grandson, Gary Remster, Jr. (Dana); granddaughter, Lisa LaScala (Tony); great grandsons, Philip Remster (Bridgette) and Joey LaScala; great granddaughters, Brittany Jensen (Erik) and Megan LaScala; great-great grandkids, Bentley Jensen and Regan Remster.  Phil went to work at Woodstown Brick & Supply Co. in 1951 as a bookkeeper and secretary to George Bradbury, Sr.  Upon George's death in 1972, Phil and a partner ran the business until she retired in 2001 at the age of 78.  She was also secretary of the Alloway Twp. Planning Board for 17 years.  Phil enjoyed playing golf and was a member of a pinochle club for 60 years.
