Leon "Bub" Elmer Owens, Jr., age 68, of Elsinboro, NJ passed away peacefully on July 15th at his home after a long, courageous battle with brain cancer.
Born in Salem, he is the son of Hilda Counsellor Owens and the late Leon Owens, Sr. Leon was a 1970 graduate of Salem High School. He took classes and became a licensed electrician and retired from his IBEW career in June 2014. Leon loved farming and hunting especially with his good friend, John McClay and anything that involved the outdoors. He is survived his wife, Mary Beth Pankok; his daughters, Tiffany Ollek (Frank) and Jennifer Ware (Rich); grandchildren, Frankie, Lillian and Jackson Ollek, Lucas and Austin Ware; brothers, Martin Owens, Randy Owens (Bonnie), Ronald Owens (Kym) and Raymond Owens; sisters, Christine Kugler (Jack), Linda Sue Pedrick (Ronnie), Judy Ambruster, Connie Owens (Don), Sheila Owens and Dawn Howell (Carl III); many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Debra Emel.
