John D. Wall, age 89, of Quinton passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 17th.
Born in Asheboro NC, he was the son of the late John and Fleta May Keelin Wall. John enlisted in the US Navy in 1949 and served on the USS Neptune, USS General Breckinridge, and USS Mazama. He was a truck driver for Johnson Controls in Middletown DE for over 25 years. After retirement John enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife Jeannette and their little dog Missy. They had a wonderful time being campground hosts and working at various state parks, making so many great friends and special memories. John will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
John is survived by his wife of 33 years Jeannette of Quinton, sons, Terry Wall and Keith Wall (Tammy), daughters, Kathy Wall and Debbie Deatherage (Lee) all of North Carolina, stepson, Allan Finlaw (Sherri), stepdaughters, Gail Finlaw and Cindy Moore. Two brothers, Bill Wall of Texas and Clarence Wall of Georgia. Also, several Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and Great-Great-Grandchildren. John is predeceased by his half-sister, Brenda Lanford and half-brother, John Lee Wall.
