Frederick E. Bierman Jr. of Lower Alloway’s Creek, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 81 on Thursday, September 9, 2021.
Fred was born and raised in Carneys Point, NJ and he was a veteran serving
in the U.S. Navy, aboard the USS English and the USS Ross. He retired from
Carpenter’s Local 542 in 1998.
Fred is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris Marie Bierman (Collins); and
children, Michele Hoffman (Robert) of LAC, Fredrick John Bierman of Carneys
Point, and Samantha Jean Corson (Frank) of Pittsgrove; sister Susan Hiles (Bob) of
Rising Sun, MD; brother Dan Bierman (Kim) of Stow Creek; his grandchildren
Douglas Bradway (Kimberley), Rocky Bradway (Sabrina), Jacob Bierman, Alicia
Paguio (Jaime), Robert Hoffman, Jr. (Daina), Brianna Hoffman, Christina Corson;
and his great grandchildren who fondly called him “Gigi-Pop,” Shane, Ryker, and
Colton Bradway, Rocky Bradway III, Justice Andujar, Faith and Greyson Hoffman,
and Trinity, Zaiden and Neveah Santiago; his nieces and nephews Cheryl Masilotti
(Bill), Lisa Hiles Buckner, Dale Bierman (Chrissy) and Matthew Bierman.
Fred was predeceased by his parents, Frederick Earl Bierman Sr., and
Bernice Bierman (McMann) and in-laws, John and Jessie Collins; his brother
Michael Bierman; his son Michael Nicolosi; and his grandson Joshua Wilkinson.
He was a member of the Canton Baptist Church, LAC Ruritan Club,
Buckshorn Sportsmen’s Club and Friends of the Hancock House.
Fred loved hunting and fishing; and looked forward to his yearly hunting
trip with longtime friends to Maine for over 50 years. More than anything, Fred
loved spending time with his family.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 18th at the Canton
Baptist Church, 700 Smick Road, Salem, NJ 08079 (Canton). Visitation begins at
10:00 am, Memorial Service at 11:00 am, and luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Fred's memory may be made to the Canton Baptist Church, Missions Fund, 700 Smick Rd., Salem, NJ 08079.
