Donald Carr, Jr., "95", age 85 of Quinton, died March 18th at home.
Born at home on Sandy Ridge Rd., Mannington Twp., he was the son of the late Donald Carr, Sr. and Beulah Pharo Carr. In 1944 the family moved to the Carr Farm in Lower Alloway's Creek. Donald worked for Raymond P. Sickler and himself as a brick mason.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eleanore Andrews Carr and three daughters, Beverly Carr and Donna Carr of Lower Alloway's Creek and Barbara and her husband, David Bradway of Quinton; six grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren; five brothers, Robert L. Carr of Mannington, DavidCarr, Sr. of Alloway, John Carr of Lower Alloway's Creek, Jim Carr of West Virginia and Cordell Carr of Alloway. He was predeceased by brothers, Everette Allen Carr, Edward Carr and Denny Carr; sisters, Jewell Heible and Mary Jones. He was a member of Quinton United Methodist Church. Donald enjoyed his class reunions (Salem, Class of "54"), telling people jokes, the Old Boy's Club, rabbit hunting and fishing.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 23rd in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Rd., Salem, NJ 08079 (Quinton Twp.) where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Hancock's Bridge United Methodist Church Cemetery, Harmersville.
