Wilma J (Sutphin) Grant

Wilma J. Grant, age 82, of Pennsville, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.  

She was born in Prenter, West Virginia to the late Carcle and Violet Green Sutphin.  She was the Food and Beverage Supervisor at the Holiday Inn in Beckett for many years.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and she loved spending time at the beach. She is survived by her four children, two daughters, Lisa (Helmut) Lackermayer and Pamela (Brad) Holmes and two sons, William Dexter (Kristin) Grant and Kenna C. Lett.  She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Mason Lackermayer, Christine (Daniel) Holmes Lang, Paige Lackermayer, Katelyn Holmes, Jonathan Grant, Lauren Grant, Stepani Lett Ibarra and one great-grandson, Daniel Gatewood and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her late husband, William T. Grant, and siblings, two brothers, Carcle, Jr. and Jerry Sutphin, four sisters, Loretta Williams, Charlotte Sutphin, June Steele and Ella Faye Hayes.  Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 10, 2018 at WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 34 Oak Street, Salem, New Jersey, where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to New Jersey Gloucester Hospice, 603 N. Broad Street, Suite 301, Woodbury, NJ 08096 or Pedricktown Ambulance, 37 Straughn’s Mill Road, Pedricktown, New Jersey 08067.
