Mary L. (Chamberlain) Dages

Mary L. Dages, nee Chamberlain, age 97, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a short illness on October 31st 2019. 

Born on May 14th 1922, she was the daughter of Orazio and Alesandra (Testa) Chamberlain.  She was preceded in her death by her daughter, Dale Ann Cagle (Dages); her son, Raymond R. Dages II; and her granddaughter, Heather M. Harmer.  Mary is survived her daughters, Frances C. Uhland (Dages) and Alesandra (Alice) Harmer (Dages) (Stuart); ten grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.  Mary worked at DuPont  and was most recently self employed.  She loved to travel and shop at Flea Markets.  Mary also loved to cook and bake and always made sure you did not leave her house empty handed.  She was the matriarch of the family and was fiercely proud of her family keeping her close with her sense of humor, love and excellent advice.  Mary was a devout Catholic and a life long member of St. Mary's Church in Salem. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 noon, December 14th at St. Mary's Church, 25 Oak Street, Salem followed by a celebration of life at the Salem Fraternal Order of Eagles, 232 East Broadway, Salem.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Mary's memory to the Salem County Meals on Wheels, 90 Market St., Salem, NJ 08079.
