Martin Taylor Lillya, 28, youngest son of Martin and the late Janine (McCarthy) Lillya of Mannington, passed away on Friday, July 12th. Taylor was a 2009 graduate of Salem High School and worked for HMS Concrete & Construction. Taylor was best known for his sense of humor, outgoing personality, and big heart. He loved fishing and the outdoors, soccer (South Jersey Group 1 Champions 08-09), music, and good times with friends and family. In addition to his father Martin, Taylor is survived by his sister Britney Lillya of Pilesgrove and brother Patrick Lillya of Newark, his grandmother Gladys Lillya of Mannington, and step-mother Joan Lillya. He leaves behind many of his aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and his dog Lou. Along with his beloved mom Janine, Taylor is predeceased by grandparents Gene and Betty McCarthy of Salem and George Lillya of Mannington. Recently, Taylor expressed a desire to give back and help others. A memorial gathering to celebrate Taylor’s life, open to family and friends, will be held Friday, July 19th, 5-8pm at Alloway Twp. Veterans Association (95 Timberman Rd., Woodstown, NJ). Interment will be private.
