Kathy Esposito (nee Murphy) passed away in her Elsinboro Township home on Sunday, March 17, 2019 after a seven year battle with colon cancer. Born to Harry and Barbara Murphy in Lake Parsippany, she graduated from Parsippany Hills High School in 1978. She met her husband, Mark, not too long after graduation and they were married in 1984. Upon moving to Elsinboro together, Kathy and Mark began to grow their family; her three children became her focus. Her home was always open to her children’s friends, and she always made sure they had a place to play and hang out. The mother of three athletes,
Kathy never missed a soccer game, wrestling match, track meet, or baseball game and even stood out in the snow to cheer her children on. For those who stayed after school with the Esposito Kids, “Kathy’s Kitchen School” was the best place to get all your homework done, make cookies for school birthdays, and dance around. As her children grew, Kathy eventually became a student at Salem Community College and was enrolled side by side with her daughters in some classes. She was proud to see her children achieve their goals as all their hard work and dedication led to each of their personal and professional success.
Kathy is pre-deceased by her father Harry, sister Christine, and nephew Tony as well as her mother and father in law, Mary and Anthony. She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Mark, her children: Nicole and her husband Tom, Dina, and Mark and his wife Julie. She is also survived by her mother Barbara Murphy, siblings Brian Murphy and Theresa Migala, and her extended family of nieces and nephews.
