Frank & Marguerite Doerr

Frank T. Doerr and Marguerite T. Doerr passed away suddenly at their Lower Alloways Creek Township home on Dec. 5, 2019. Frank, son of Claudette Doerr of Salem and the late William Doerr, was a 1973 graduate of Salem High School. He was a lifetime firefighter with North Bend Fire Company, Salem and a member of Excelsior Lodge #54 F&AM. Frank recently retired from Union Local 13 Boilermakers after 40 years of service. Frank had a strong passion for fishing and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family. Marguerite, born in San Jose, California to the late John and Florence Tussey, grew up in Salem and was a member of Salem High School Class of 1973. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was an avid animal lover. She also enjoyed tending to her garden and floating in her pool during the summer months. Frank and Marguerite are survived by their children David Smith Jr., Christina Doerr, Carrie Boggs (John), Frank Doerr Jr. (Ashley) and grandchildren Mckenzie, Kodi, Emma, Abigail, Audrey, Johnny, Rylee, Logan and Emily.  Frank is also survived by his brothers, Bruce Doerr and David Doerr, and his sister, Jennifer Scarri (Bill). Marguerite is also survived by her sister, Luanne Taylor (Thomas Pollard) and her sister-in-law, Joy Tussey. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Tussey.

Relatives and friends may visit 10 AM to 12 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem Quinton Road, Salem, NJ. Interment immediately following the service at the Friesburg Lutheran Cemetery, 366 Cohansey Friesburg Rd. Elmer, NJ 08318.
