Floyd Messer, Jr., age 62 of Salem passed away Saturday, July 13th in Cooper University Medical Center, Camden.
Born in Salem, he was the son of Mearle Rich Vail and the late Floyd Messer, Sr. He is also survived by his step-father, Edward Vail. Floyd was a United States Navy veteran. Before his retirement, he was a group leader in the shipping department for Anchor Glass of Salem. In addition to his mother and step-father, Floyd is survived by his wife, the former Linda Long; his son, Jesse Thomas (Rachelle) of Bridgeton; his daughters, Amy Wood (Dean) of Alloway, Rachel Thomas of Ardmore, PA and Shana Pew (Chris) of Mannington; grandchildren, Alex, Devon, Ezra, Eliza, Trinity, Savanah, Courtney, Raegan, Bailee, Jared and Emily. He is predeceased by his brothers, Michael Messer, Larry Messer and Glenn Messer.
Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 20th 2019 in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd., Rt. 49, Quinton Twp. where friends may call after 10:00AM. Interment will be private.
