Evelyn "Betty" (Brown) Franklin

Evelyn "Betty" Franklin (nee Brown) of Lower Alloways Creek Township passed away on December 10, 2018 at the age of 85.   

Born in Lower Alloways Creek Township on July 31, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Leon William Brown and Viola Peachey Brown (nee Simpkins).   Betty was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Charles Owen Franklin, Jr.; her son, Owen William Franklin "Junior",  and her brother, Russell Brown.  She is survived by her daughter, Betty Joyce Hiles (Howard), granddaughters, Shea Martino, Tabitha Krzewinski (Brian), grandsons, Russell Hiles, Kevin Hiles (Justen), Joseph Franklin (Christen), and Craig Franklin; her sister Helene "Sug" Kuhn and her brother , Barry Brown.  Betty had 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  Betty worked until she was 79 years old.   She worked at Val Mode, Major Clothing and National Refrigerant.   Betty enjoyed baking, reading, going on bus trips  and being a devoted wife.  She supported her husband in his love for horses.

Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 14th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd., Rt. 49, Quinton Twp. where friends may call after 10:00 AM.  Burial will be in the Canton Baptist Cemetery.
