James E. Baldwin, Jr. ("Ed"), age 85, of Alloway Township, died on January 21, 2018.
Born and raised in Salem County, he was the son of the late J. Edgar Baldwin, Sr. and Agnes Hitchner Baldwin. Mr. Baldwin was retired from DuPont Chambers Works in Deepwater and had also been a barber in Woodstown for many years. He was a 1949 graduate of Woodstown High School and a member of the Alloway United Methodist Church. He was also a veteran of the Korean War Conflict, from which he was honorably discharged by the United States Army in 1954. Predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Lois J. (Whitesall), his brother Bruce, and his grandson, Levi James, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Kathleen Thomas (Douglas) and James E. Baldwin, III (Dodi); his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters, Jacqueline Jack, Mildred Reardigan, and Nancy Baldwin; his wife, Ella (Lounsberry), and her family.
