Annette "Anne" Lombardo Catalano, age 97, of Mannington passed away Friday, March 2nd in Golden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Sicily, Italy, Mrs. Catalano was the daughter of the late Stephen and Julia Salvo Lombardo. Mrs. Catalano was the owner and proprietor of the Catalano's Grocery Store in Salem. She was a member of the St. Mary's Church of Salem and Anne was an avid reader who was a hard worker her entire life. Mrs. Catalano is survived by her daughters, Julia Doughty (Bill) of Quinton and Sarah Lawrence (Edward) of Pennsville; brother, Sam Lombardo; two grandchildren, David Lawrence and Edward Doughty; four great grandchildren, David, Rachel, Abby and Josh Lawrence. She is predeceased by her husband, Sam Lombardo; brothers, Joseph and Stephen Lombardo; and sister, Josephine Palmieri.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said 12:00 noon, Tuesday, March 6th in St. Mary's Church, 25 Oak St., Salem. Friends and family may call prior to the Mass from 10:00 AM to 11:45 in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd., Rt. 49, Quinton Twp. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
